Meet The Team
I have been involved with sport and exercise for my whole career having spent 16 years as a PE teacher following on from my degree in BA (hons) Physical Education and QTS (qualified teacher status).
I made the decision to start up my own fitness business after becoming qualified as a licensed Clubbercise instructor in 2016.
One class soon became more and in January 2019 I made the decision to leave my teaching career and to go fully self-employed in my fitness business!
Since then I have continued to train and consider professional development essential in the fitness industry. Over the last year I have obtained the following additional qualifications: Certified family/kids/teens Clubbercise instructor and have also obtained my Level 2 ETM (exercise to music) qualification.
More recently I became a certified Fitness Pilates instructor and have gone on to obtain my certification in advanced Fitness Pilates in pregnancy, fitness Pilates for Orthopaedic conditions and fitness Pilates personal trainer certification.
I am also a qualified Level 2 Kettlebells instructor.
Working with women is a key part of my business model and I wanted to ensure that I could continue to work with and support women through pregnancy and also beyond the birth of a child. For this reason I have also obtained a Level 3 Pre/postnatal fitness qualification. I am also a recognised member of the Guild of Pre and Post Natal exercise instructors, ensuring up to date training and knowledge.
This ensures that I am able to offer safe and progressive adaptations for women at all stages of pregnancy and postpartum. We as women shouldn't stop doing what we enjoy and I want to support anyone with safe advice and exercise classes.
I have a keen interest in conditions and adapting exercise for specialist populations and have recently finished studying for my Level 3 GP exercise referral qualification - watch this space!
In addition to my qualifications I am DBS checked and hold full and comprehensive insurance.
